VERSES

Lord, in these uncertain times, help me to make this promise of yours MY own.

PMC roller [#07] The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
- Psalm 18:2

A PRAYER

PMC roller [#07] Lord, thank you that you are the same every day, you're the same today as you were yesterday & will be the same tomorrow, your faithfulness is amazing & so comforting.

Thank you that because of Jesus death & resurrection we can know your love & forgiveness. Thank you that you are always with us in the power of your Holy Spirit, we ask you to work within us by the power of your Spirit to increase our hunger & thirst for you & so cause us to live as your children should. Help us to see situations & people through your eyes, Lord. We ask this in your name Jesus, Amen.

A HYMN

[#10] SHOUT TO THE LORD

Shout to the Lord all the earth,
Let us sing
Power and majesty,
Praise to the King.
Mountains bow down
And the seas will roar
At the sound of Your name.
I sing for joy
At the work of Your hands.
Forever I’ll love You,
Forever I’ll stand.
Nothing compares to the
Promise I have in You.

[#07] JOURNEY TO EMMAUS

Two people on a journey
Down at heart and deeply stressed
Walked down a road together
Feeling totally depressed.

At their side there came another
Who was interested to know
Why they were so very weary
And what had caused them to be so.

Two people on a journey
Eyes were dim, they could not see
How the presence of that stranger
Could set their spirits free.

As they walked along together
So the Stranger taught the Word
About how their friend had suffered
But they did not see the Lord.

When they came to eat together
Suddenly their vision cleared
And they recognised their Saviour
And ran back, now really cheered.

They told their other brothers
How the Lord appeared to them
On that journey to Emmaus,
How He'd come to life again

Lord. help us to recognise You
When You come in times of stress
Help us to sense Your presence
And to feel Your gentleness.

Help us to go to others
And teach them of Your love
That people who are searching
May be led to Heaven above.
