Young people and families

We welcome Miss Ruth Lindridge who joined us as Youth & Families Worker in November. Having employed Youth and Families Workers over several years youth work is well established. These groups include the Youth Club and the Cellar drop-in group which both meet Fridays during school term time.

The Youth Club for children aged 5 to 11 meets Friday 6.00pm to 7.30pm. Time is shared between informal play, formal games and a variety of crafts including cooking. We charge 50p per child which includes refreshments.

The Cellar drop-in is for teenagers, in year 7 or above at school, and meets Friday 7.30pm to 9.00pm. It provides a safe environment for teenagers to meet and hang out together. We sell tuck and a variety of soft drinks at cost. Time is shared between informal chat, discussion about life and faith issues, formal table games, films and sports including badminton and table tennis.
